(10/01/12) SANOCKI, GEORGE EDWARD, 67, passed away on September 24, 2012 in Greenville, SC after battling a long illness and with family by his side.
Born in Coventry, RI on February 20, 1945 to Anthony and Victoria (Marek) Sanocki, and was the beloved widow of Carmen (Cruz) Sanocki. A previous resident of Coventry, RI he worked as a service man for both DeBlois Oil Company and the General Oil Company. Mr. Sanocki retired in 2000 from St. Joseph Hospital as manager of the facilities HVAC systems. He served as a PVT in both the Rhode Island Army National Guard and the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Sanocki leaves three children, George Graves, Tracy Mansour-Flynn, and Jeffrey Sanocki all of Coventry, RI. He was the father of the late Scott Sanocki, who died at infancy. Grandfather to SPC Kyle Graves, Marissa Graves, Rachel Graves, Matthew Mansour, and Alexander Mansour. He leaves behind his sister, Dorothy Corp of Coventry, RI, and brothers, Joseph Sanocki of Rock Hill, SC and Victor Sanocki of Fleming Island, FL. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, John and Rudolph Sanocki, and leaves his former wife Maximilliana Sanocki.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Inurnment with military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick, RI. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
