(10/03/12) Augustino G. \"Gus\" Rossi, 96, of Providence Street, Warwick passed away Wednesday at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Colombe (Brouillard) Rossi. Mr. and Mrs. Rossi had been together for 71 years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Vincenza (Dominici) Rossi.
Mr. Rossi was a Master Electrician for 42 years and worked as an Avionics Radar Technician at Quonset Point Naval Air Station. He also owned and operated a TV Repair Shop in East Natick.
He was the beloved father of Robert J. Rossi and his wife Laurie of Warwick, Kenneth A. Rossi and his wife Linda of Warwick and Dennis J. Rossi and his wife Kathy of Flagler Beach, FL. Loving grandfather of Brian and Dennis Rossi, Sheri Storar, Lisa Rossi, Leann Santos and Angelina Jose. Cherished great-grandfather of five. He was the brother of the late Nicholas, Michael, Samuel, Lawrence, Gennaro and Antonio Rossi and Angelina Stabile.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 8:00-9:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
