(10/21/14) Standish, Hope A. (Heap), 80, passed away on October 21, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ronald R. Standish. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Corinne (Jett) Heap.
Hope worked as a switch board operator and was also an operator at an Elastic Mill. She later became the co-owner and primary officer for daily operations of the family\'s business, STANDISH HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING. Her passions were painting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four children: John Standish, Linda Conway, Lori Colby-Terriberry and Jill Alberigo all of Coventry; fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters: Joan Murphy of East Providence and Bernice Millard of Ocala, FL. She was predeceased by seven siblings.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, at 3:30 PM in Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. (10/21/14) Ralph N. Hamilton, Jr., 80, of Warwick passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Madeline E. (Rayhill) Hamilton for 60 years. Born in Providence, he was a devoted son of Dorothy A. (Gorton) Hamilton of Warwick and the late Ralph N. Hamilton, Sr.
Mr. Hamilton was the Sealer of Weights and Measures and the former City Council President of The City of Warwick. He was also a Commercial Shell Fisherman and served in The United States Navy during the Korean War. Ralph was a avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
He was the loving father of Patricia M. Reposa and her husband Ronald of Rockville and Donna A. Cavaco and her husband Richard of West Kingston. Cherished grandfather of Kristen and Matthew Cavaco and Laura Smith and great-grandfather of Maxwell Hamilton Smith. Caring brother of Thomas H. Hamilton of Palm Bay, FL and the late Beatrice M. Becker.

Shirley was an employee of the Warwick school system for over 35 years. She was also an active member of Norwood Baptist Church where she spent many hours worshiping and volunteering with her many friends. Shirley loved traveling the world and being surrounded by family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earle Chaffee; daughter of the late Roy and Mabel Ochs and sister to Marilyn Lindstrom of South Kingstown. She was the mother of son, William & his wife Joanne of Warwick; son, James & his wife Joan of Warwick and son, Richard & his wife, Toya of Utah. Grandmother of Kerri Dailey, Jonathan Chaffee, Meghan Palumbo, Craig Chaffee, Toya-Lynn Flanagan and Natalie Chaffee. Great grandmother of Keagan & Kyson Flanagan, Mackenzie & Samantha Dailey and Jameson & Patrick Palumbo.

He was the husband of Jeanne M. (DePrete) Lukowicz, they had been married for 54 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Mary S. (Tworog) Lukowicz. He was a lifelong resident of Coventry.
Mr. Lukowicz was the proprietor of RJ Lukowicz Land Clearing Co. for over twenty years then was a heavy equipment operator with Cherenzia Construction in Westerly before retiring. He was a communicant of SS. John & Paul Church where he served as a collector. He enjoyed spending time with his two horses, Billy and Sam.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Ronald J. Lukowicz, Jr., of Coventry, John J. Lukowicz and his wife Lisa, of Coventry and Steven M. Lukowicz of Exeter; twin granddaughters, Lena and Laura Lukowicz; a brother, Joseph F. Lukowicz, Jr. of Cranston and a sister, Carolyn M. Harrington of Arlington, MA.

He was the husband of the late Diana A. (Burton) Lukowicz-Theroux and the late Irene C. (Fortin) Theroux.
Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Leonard and Florida (Beauchesne) Theroux. He was a lifelong resident of the Pawtuxet Valley.
Mr. Theroux was a maintenance machinist with Arkwright, Inc. for many years before retiring. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He is survived by two children, Charles E. âChuckâ Theroux, Jr. and Dorothy Murray; two step-children, Priscilla J. Pilla and Glenn Lukowicz and three grandchildren.

He was the husband of the late Celia M. (Lesniak) Lamb. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late James and Mary Agnes (Lamb) Lamb. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Mr. Lamb was an inspector with the RI DMV for many years before retiring. He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War and a communicant of St. Mary Church.
He leaves two children, John R. âRonâ Lamb and his wife Kathleen of Coventry and Deborah A. Gamelin and her husband James of Coventry and two grandsons, Jeffrey and David Gamelin. He was the brother of the late James E. Lamb and Anna Noel.

(10/25/14) Louis Roberti, 89, of Warwick passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Teresa (Capaldo) Roberti for 64 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Romeo and Rose (Calderone) Roberti.
Mr. Roberti was a Civil Service Worker for The United States Government at Quonset-Davisville then served as a driver for The State of Rhode Island. He served in The United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Warwick and a life member of the D.A.V.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on 4th floor West at Kent Hospital for their excellent care of Mr. Roberti.

Sister Mary Jane Higgins, RSM - , RI
(10/30/14) HIGGINS, Sister Mary Jane, 84, formerly known as Sister Marie de Prague, a Sister of Mercy and former educator, chaplain, and spiritual director, died on October 28, 2014 at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield.
Born in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Dorothy (Francis) Higgins; the sister of Sister Barbara Francis Higgins, O.Carm, and Anthony Higgins in Delaware.
Sister Jane entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1948 and professed her final vows in 1953. Early in her religious life, Sister taught in the elementary schools of Sacred Heart, East Providence, Tyler School and St. Patrickâs School in Providence as well as at St. Vincentâs Home in Fall River. She then assumed the principalship at St. Vincentâs, St. Kilian, and Holy Name schools in New Bedford. Sister Mary Jane taught secondary education at Holy Family, New Bedford and at Bishop Stang in North Dartmouth.
Following her teaching career, Sister ministered as Chaplain at St. Joseph Hospital in Providence. Using her Masterâs degree in spirituality, Sister Jane conducted retreats and spiritual programs both at Emmaus Retreat Center in Uncasville, Ct. and Mercy Center in Madison, Ct.
Sisterâs great love of the arts enriched her ministry and the lives of all she touched through her unique creativity. She was a poet and enjoyed writing in her journal as well. Being near the ocean and spending time on summer beaches was one of her favorite activities.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 am in Mount St. Rita Health Centre Chapel, Cumberland. Visitation will be from 9:15 to 10:50 am at Mt. St. Rita with a Mercy Prayer Service at 10:20 am. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice M. (Stanley) Eliason to whom at the time of her death in 2012 he was married forty-one years. He was the brother of the late Lennart and Sigurd Eliason and is survived by his nephews: Eric Eliason & his wife Carol of Coventry and Carl Eliason & his wife Donna of Jacksonville, FL.
Born in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Carl A. and Alma (Peterson) Eliason, he lived in Warwick most of his life. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II serving as a bombardier with the 305th Army Air Force Base Unit.
He was a graduate of Bryant College and he attended Brown University. He worked as a tool maker & designer and was President of Eli Engineering Company, Warwick.
He was a member of Vasa Order of America Pioneer Lodge #506, Johan Baner Lodge #36 and the last living member of Gustave Adolph Lodge. He was a member of the Verdandi Male Chorus; the American Legion, Providence and a former member of St. Ansgarius Episcopal Church.
His life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. (11/02/14) Eugene H. \"Gene\" \"Red\" Rascle, Sr., 94, of Coventry, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Coventry Health Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Noela A. \"Lucille\" (Gourd) Rascle. They had been married for over 66 years. Gene was born in Stratford, CT, a son of the late Henri and Helene (Forcoz) Rascle.
He was the Owner/Operator of Redâs Auto Body of West Warwick and had also been the Manager of the Auto Body Division of the former Webber Chevrolet.
He was a proud U.S. Veteran of WWII.
\"Red\" was a graduate of West Warwick High School Class of 1938 and the Officers Candidate School. He was a communicant of Saints John and Paul Church Coventry, and was a member of the North Kingstown Stamp Club. He also enjoyed gardening.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Eugene H. âGeneâ Rascle Jr. (Sandra) of Marietta GA and Lucille Fox Bollengier (Robert) of West Greenwich. He was the grandfather of Nicholas T. Fox and Samantha Morrow Rascle. \"Gene\" was the brother of the late Madeline Szydlo and the late Philomene Hebert.

Cora was born in Coventry, a daughter of the late Paul and Theodora (Langlais) Caya. She was a nursing assistant for many years.
Cora was the mother of Robert P. Nobriga, Sr., of West Warwick, David A. Nobriga of West Warwick, Donald H. Nobriga of West Warwick, and also Jacqueline Crusenberry of Ft. Pierce Florida. She was the grandmother of six, and the great-grandmother of nine.

Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Andre M. Petrarca, Jr. and his wife Amanda of Coventry and Joseph M. âJoeyâ Petrarca of West Warwick; three grandsons, Lucas, Nathan and Adam Petrarca and three sisters, Janet Ventura, Lea Reynolds and Gail Connelly all of West Warwick.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at 9 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Ave., West Warwick. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm. Charles Fratus - , RI
(11/03/14) Charles Fratus, 94, of West Warwick, died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Irene (Hallam) Fratus and the late Dorothy (Liberti) Fratus.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Souza) Fratus. Charles was a Lace Weaver for many years.
Mr. Fratus was a WWI Veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1697 in West Warwick and was also a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by a daughter Loreen L. Beachaine of West Warwick, a granddaughter Jennifer and her husband Richard Levevre of Warwick, and a great-granddaughter Juni Lefevre of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Manuel Fratus, Jesse Fratus, Joseph Fratus, and also the late Laura Moniz.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 12 Noon in the PRATA-MURPHY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 10:00am - 12:00pm.
