(11/20/13) Dennis J. Diffley, Sr., 68 of Coventry, RI, joined his Savior in Paradise on Friday, November 15, 2013 after a battle with lung cancer. He leaves his wife Carol of forty-four years, his sons Louis Diffley and his wife Heidi and Dennis Diffley, Jr. and his wife Fran, six grandchildren; Christopher, Sean and Kaylee Diffley and Chelsea, Aaron and Tara Muniz, three sisters; Patricia Carpenter, Kate Diffley and Colleen Achin, and a brother; Timothy Diffley. He was the son of the late James P. and Kathleen (Marker) Diffley. He was the brother of the late Terrence Diffley, Mickey Diffley, Daniel Diffley and Kevin Diffley.
Dennis was the owner and founder of Dennis Diffley Drain Services since 1976. He was a good and honorable man who loved his wife and family and spent his life working his business and always believed in giving his best and treating people the way he wanted to be treated. He loved the Boston Red Sox, The N.E. Patriots, movies and travel.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Calling hours are prior from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI 02886.
