(10/04/15) John A. Mota, 20, was unexpectedly removed from our lives on Sunday, October 4, 2015 , but remains eternally in our hearts. He was given life on October 1, 1995 by two loving and caring parents: Juan Mota of Providence and Miriam Ovalles of West Warwick.
John was an amazing young man with \'boy like\' tendencies often being a kidder and comedian. Not only was his laugh contagious, but his warmth and energy was easily noticeable when in his presence. His story telling and candidness distinguished him not only on a friendly level, but on a family level as a tremendous uncle who loved to use his wittiness to entertain his nephews.
Besides his outgoing personality, John appreciated all types and style cars. \'Tinkering\' with cars was fun, but the best part was doing it with his brother. Being the youngest of four children, it wasn\'t difficult to see that John was a \'Mommas Boy\', but in a good way. He was independent; furthermore nothing got in between he and his mother, except one of her home cooked dinners.
Besides his parents; he is survived by three siblings: Lissette Mota of Cranston, RI, Leonard Mota of West Warwick, RI, Christopher Ovalles of West Warwick, RI and Penelope Mota of Providence; four nephews; several aunts and uncles, extended family, friends and his girlfriend Chrissy McKenna.
A Mass of Christian Burial and processional gathering will take place at St. Michael\'s Parish, 239 Oxford Street, Providence, RI 02905 on Saturday, October 10 at 9:00 AM followed with burial at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, 100 Harrison Avenue, Warwick, RI. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI 02893. In lieu of flowers a fund has been created to defray funeral expenses. Go to https://www.gofundme.com/ec567grb to donate.
