(12/03/12) ZAJDEK, Alice F. (Mello), 91, formerly of Providence St., West Warwick, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Riverview Healthcare Community.
She was the wife of the late Walter S. Zajdek. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Couto) Mello. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
She is survived by a son, Michael A. Zajdek and his wife Denise of West Warwick; a daughter, Regina M. Thomas and her husband Dr. B.J. Thomas of Barrington; three sisters, Rita Levesque, Theresa Michalec and Helen Plant; two brothers, Joseph and John âJackâ Mello; four grandchildren, Hillary L. Zajdek, Benjamin Zajdek and his wife Tarshalee, Dr. Scott Thomas and Jeanie Scarella and a great granddaughter, Olivia Zajdek. She was the sister of the late Mary Wojcik, Louise, Edward, Thomas and Daniel Mello.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at 10 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
