(11/22/13) Coventry - Sherry L. (Schaller) Lombardo, 74, of Wisteria Drive, passed away at home on Monday, November 18, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Benjamin L. Lombardo with whom she celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on February 15, 2013.
Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Paul L. and Lorraine (Guertin) Schaller. She was co-owner with her husband of Bernardinoâs Restaurant in Framingham, MA and of JJ McKayâs Restaurant in Wayland, MA before retiring.
She immensely enjoyed spending time with her friends & family, shopping, decorating and going out to dinner. She is being remembered as a strong, loving, vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter: Lori Rollins and her husband Jonathan and two grandsons: Connor & Drew, with whom she lived. She was the sister of the late David Schaller.

(11/22/13) Janet H. Feeney, 78, of Hope, RI passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, RI. She was the wife of the late John W. Feeney and mother of the late Craig Feeney. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Harriet (Gillespie) Fuller.
Janet was a career nurse until her retirement. She loved travel, music and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
She graduated from West Warwick High School in 1953 and then graduated from Addison Gilbert School of Nursing, in Gloucester, MA. She was a lifelong member of the Shepard of the Valley Church.
Janet was the mother of her loving daughters; Laurie Feeney of Hope, RI, with whom she resided with until her illness in May 2013, and Susan Feeney-Hopkins and her loving son-in-law Steven Hopkins of Portage Lake, ME. Grandmother to the lights of her life; Amanda Feeney and Jonathan Messier of Hope, RI. Mother to her beloved daughter-in-law Jeanne (Loven) Feeney. Lifelong friend of Janice Conroy of Hope, RI and Peggy Pastore of Warwick, RI, in addition to many brothers- and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the dedicated and compassionate caregivers at Riverview Health Care Community, especially the staff on One East and also the Kent Hospital ICU Unit.

(11/25/13) West Warwick - Carolyn J. (Rosewell) Chagnon, 64, of Andrews Avenue passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Yolanda E. (Cavalieri) Rosewell, she previously had lived in Cranston. She worked as a secretary employed by a private investigation firm.
She was a member of Woodridge United Church of Christ Congregational, Cranston for over twenty years where she served as an officer and was very active with many of the churchâs functions.
She loved to read, learning to play the piano and enjoyed sewing and needlework. Her family is remembering her as a very happy, caring and loving person.
She is survived by two sons: Michael J. Chagnon and his wife Kaisa of Cumberland and Joseph K. Chagnon of West Warwick and one brother: Robert Rosewell of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Michael Rosewell. She is survived also by her beloved kitty, âSuzieâ.

(11/26/13) Cumberland â André A. Lamoureux, 71, of Manville Hill Road died unexpectedly Sunday, November 24, 2013 in Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of Irene C. (Pontbriand) Lamoureux.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Lionel and Albina (Lavoie) Lamoureux, he had lived in Woonsocket for 12 years before moving to Cumberland 9 years ago.
Mr. Lamoureux was a machine operator for Speidel for 31 years and later worked as a custodian for the Cumberland School Department before retiring in 2006.
He was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville and a member of Woonsocket Elks Lodge #850, Woonsocket.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Marc M. Lamoureux of Narragansett and Brian A. Lamoureux of Manville; two stepsons; Michael R. Berard and Marc A. Berard, both of Woonsocket; four sisters, Jeanne Plante of Woonsocket, Georgette Constantineau of Burrillville; Bernadette Fortier of Margate, Fl; and Constance Labonte of Westchester, CA; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lucien, Camille, George and Rene Lamoureux, Alice Richards and Juliette Mandeville.
His funeral will be held SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30 at 8:30 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. His burial will be private.

(11/27/13) Doris R. âDottieâ âMemereâ (Valliere) Greene, 84, formerly of Legris Avenue, West Warwick passed away Monday evening, November 25, 2013 at Kent Hospital.
Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Donat J. and Alexina (LeBrun) Valliere. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Dottie was a patient accounts representative at Kent County Memorial Hospital for 18 years, retiring in 1999. She was formerly employed at Seanas Inc. as a credit manager for 23.5 years. She was the very first woman every hired as dispatcher for the West Warwick Fire Department. Dottie was former Senior Vice Commander of the American Legion Post #2 in Arctic. She was also a former member of the Wings of the Civil Air Patrol. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 17, West Warwick.
Dottie was very active in a number of political campaigns and she loved it! There were always a plethora of political campaign signs covering her lawn. She was also active in Girl Scout Troops in Centerville. She was an avid reader and would buy books galore! They were her passion. She also enjoyed working in her yard and looked forward to planting her garden every year.
She leaves behind her daughter, Judy A. Moore of West Warwick; two beloved granddaughters, Shannon Lefaivre and her husband Scott Lefaivre of Taunton Massachusetts and Meghan Moore of West Warwick; two great grandchildren, Kadence and Mason Lefaivre and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of the late Cecile Valliere of West Warwick, Lucille Auger of West Warwick, and Therese Dudley of Wethersfield, Connecticut.

(11/27/13) Irene E. Couture, 90, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at Genesis Greenwood Center in Warwick.
Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Diana (Dutilly) Couture.
Irene graduated from Aldrich High School in 1941 and worked as a cook and waitress at various dining establishments for many years most recently at the Jefferson Diner before retiring. She loved talking to the customers and looked forward to them coming back. She enjoyed sitting outside at her apartment house and talking and laughing with her neighbors. She had a great sense of humor and laughed a lot and was called a hot ticket.
She is survived by two nieces, Diana Brodeur of Peoria, Illinois and Anne Decelles and her husband Bob of Coventry; two great nieces; a great nephew and many other great great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, Daniel Couture, her sister-in-law Barbara Couture and a great niece, Debra Brodeur.

Mrs. Phillips was an educator for the Warwick School System. She was a graduate of Sargent College, now Boston University, in 1952. She was a member of Warwick Central Baptist Church, the Retired Teachers Association of RI, the Warwick Heights Tennis Club for over 40 years and a patron of Matunuck By The Sea Theatre Group.
She was the Beloved grandmother of Keri Lynn Miller of Warwick and Erik F. Miller of Cumberland. Loving sister of Richard I. Land of Belmont, MA. She was the mother of the late Bonnie F. Miller, wife of Timothy L. Miller.

(11/30/13) Carol Ann (Bass) Hassell, 68 of Warwick, died Saturday November 30, 2013 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 49 years to Lewis C. Hassell Jr., Carol was born in Providence, a daughter of the late George & Helen (Bray) Bass.
She was a Medical Assistant for many years, until her retirement.
Carol, was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and served on the parish council of the church. She was a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Ministries of St. Charles Church Providence. She enjoyed doing crafts and being with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband she leaves, her devoted sons Lewis C. Hassell III of South Kingstown, Michael P. Hassell of Foster, Gregory M. Hassell of Warwick.
She was the loving grandmother of Gregory , Anthony, Ryan, Kendra, Cameron, Jessica, Matthew.

(12/01/13) Cumberland â Charles âChickâ H. Wild, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla A. (Rowse) Wild for fifty-five years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Frank D. and Lucy (Moors) Wild, he resided in Cumberland for the past forty-six years. Chick served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Providence Journal for thirty years before retiring as a bookkeeper. Chick was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Cumberland and had served on the Vestry at the former St. Martinâs Episcopal Church, Pawtucket. He loved playing Cribbage and was an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins. He was a former volunteer for Meals On Wheels and enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba. But most of all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Mark C. Wild and his wife, Peggy; two daughters, Cheryl A. Ryone and her husband, Bryan and Karen L. (12/03/13) David E. Wright, 60, of North Kingstown, formerly of Warwick, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at home. He was the former husband of Kathleen L. (Lefoley) Wright. Born in Providence on May 3, 1953, he was the son of the late Clarence R. and Margaret E. (Robinson) Wright.
A self-employed welder, he owned and operated the Ultra Precision Welding Co. of East Greenwich until his retirement. Presently he was employed as a school bus driver for the North Kingstown Schools. Prior to founding his own business, he was employed by the Leviton Manufacturing Co. of Warwick.
Mr. Wright was a member of the East Greenwich Firemen\'s Club.
He leaves his cherished children: Melissa Wright, Elizabeth Wright, Rebecca Wright, all of North Kingstown, and Sarah Wright O\'Connell and her husband Matthew of Warwick. He was the brother of Patricia A. Krugman of Florida and the late Marjorie E. Page.

Jean was born in Providence a daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Sutton) Tabele. She was a Cashier for the former Almacs Inc. for over 17 years, before she retired in 1987.
Mrs. McLaughlin, was a part time assistant to the Social Activities Coordinator at the Brentwood Nursing Home. Jean, was the devoted mother of Stephen P. McLaughlin of Bloomfield Hills Michigan, Colleen M. Lytle of Warwick, Eileen M. McLaughlin of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was also the cherished grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 3.
Mrs. McLaughlin was the mother of the late Kevin F., Richard A. and Michael J. McLaughlin.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Vincent) Pereira, she had lived in Cumberland for the past 63 years.
Mrs. Lemos was a secretary at Atlas Braid Company before retiring.
She is survived by two sons, Bernard J. Lemos and Stephen J. Lemos, both of Cumberland; one sister, Irene Vincent of North Attleboro, MA; three brothers, Richard Pereira of North Attleboro, MA, Vern Pereira of Cumberland and Jack Pereira of Oceanside, CA; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Matthew, Benjamin and Gus Pereira, and Alice Lemos.

Sister M. Agnes Gallogly, RSM - , RI
(12/07/13) GALLOGLY, Sister M. Agnes, 88, a Sister of Mercy and a retired teacher, principal, chaplain, and parish minister, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013, at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Bridget (Moran) Gallogly, both born in Ireland. She entered the Sisters of Mercy on September 8, 1943, at Mother of Mercy Novitiate and professed her perpetual vows on March 16, 1949 at Mount St Rita.
Sister was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy, class of 1943. She earned a bachelor degree from Catholic Teachers College and did graduate work in mathematics and geography.
Her ministries spanned several decades. As an educator, Sister taught in St. Mary School, North Attleboro, MA, SS. Peter and Paul in Fall River, Tyler School and St. Michael School in Providence. She also served as treasurer at St. Xavier Academy and Superior and Principal at St. Mary parish in North Attleboro. In 1976, Sister changed her ministry and began work with the elderly at St. Ann Parish in Cranston. Fully engaged in pastoral work, she spent the next 20 years in parish ministry at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Providence, Sacred Heart Parish in East Providence, St. Patrick in Cumberland, Mount St Rita in Cumberland, and then in St Joseph Parish in Providence. Sister Agnes was always remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, complete candor, and unquestionable dedication to the people with whom she worked.
In addition to her religious community, the Sisters of Mercy, Sister is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sister M. Nathaniel Gallogly, RSM, Mary E. OâDonnell, James J. Gallogly, Jr. and her twin, F. Francis âFrankâ Gallogly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 11 am in Mount St. Rita Chapel, Cumberland, RI. Mr. Gofton was a Banker at the former Union National Trust, Industrial National Bank, and the Fleet Bank, for many years before retiring, 20 years ago. During WWII, Edward served in the United States Navy. In addition, he was a member of the U.S. Navy Armed Guard Veterans Association.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Jeffrey D. Gofton of Coventry, two daughters Ann Diver of Princeton N.J., Lisa E. Widmann of Warwick and his brother Albert F. Gofton of Warwick. He was the grandfather of eight and the brother of the late Francis C. Gofton.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00am in THE URQUHART â MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 3-7pm.

(12/08/13) Lucy V. (Petrarca) Petrarca, 84, of West Warwick passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis \"Scrappy\" Petrarca. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Ralph M. and Mary M. (Padula) Petrarca.
Mrs. Petrarca was employed with the City of Warwick.
She was the beloved mother of Robert L. Petrarca of West Warwick and the late William Petrarca. Loving grandmother of Louis and Nicholas Petrarca. Cherished sister of Ralph A. Petrarca and his wife Barbara of Coventry and the late Jennie Senerchia. Caring sister in law of Ralph Senerchia of West Warwick. She was the aunt of the late David Senerchia.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7 pm.

Beatrice G (Laverdiere) Gosselin - , RI
(12/09/13) Cumberland â Beatrice G. (Laverdiere) Gosselin, 93, of Eddy Street died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Edward E. R. Gosselin.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alderic and Alice (Grenon) Laverdiere, she had lived in Albion for 25 years before moving to Cumberland 4 ½ years ago.
Mrs. Gosselin was a sewer in various textile mills in Woonsocket and had also worked as sales lady for Grantâs, Woolworthâs and McCarthyâs.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo-Ann Billeri of South Attleboro, MA and Donna-Jean Gosselin of Cumberland; two grandchildren, Raymond and Jo-El Giguere; three great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lionel, Ernest, Normand and Bertrand Laverdiere, and Rita Brouillard and Theresa Hebert.
Her funeral will be held THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12 at 9 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Albion. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Albion.
